We are Located in the village of Thorndon, near Eye in Suffolk, since 1874 the school has faithfully served the children and their families from the local community and surrounding area. 

Thorndon Primary School is a small, friendly, welcoming and inclusive village school for children aged 4 -11 years old. At the age of 11+ the children then typically go to Hartismere High School (https://www.hartismere.com/)

Alongside our curriculum, we offer the children a variety of experiences ranging from learning to play a musical instrument, swimming, Year 6 residential, sporting events, trips and visits and much more.

We are very lucky to have the use of a fantastic and enchanting Forest School site, where each class has the opportunity to experience many sessions throughout the year.

We also have a breakfast club and a number of after-school clubs.
